President Paul Kagame addressed an international conference hosted by the RPF-Inkotanyi, where he stated that the theory for keeping Africa’s transformation on track has been answered, and the remaining challenge is implementation.
Kagame was participating in a panel discussion entitled “How will Africa take charge of its future?” at the party’s headquarters in Rusororo.
The conference was held as part of the activities to celebrate the party’s 35th anniversary and was attended by party cadres, representatives of other political organizations in Rwanda, international delegates, diplomats, and researchers. Kagame responded to a question from a Cameroonian delegate who said that the answer to Africa’s transformation has been known for over two decades, but nothing has been done.
The panel discussed how Africa can navigate the current and future geopolitical environment. Rwandan economist Donald Kaberuka and former executive secretary at UNECA, Carlos Lopes, were among the panelists.
Rwandan entrepreneur, Maryse Mbonyumutwa, shared her journey in the business world. The conference was held under the theme: “Reflecting on 35 Years and Beyond”.
