The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka collaborated with the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai city, Osaka prefecture, and the local administration to organize a special concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Hieu, head of the Foreign Ministry’s State Committee for overseas Vietnamese Affairs, stated that the event and other cultural activities in both countries would promote cultural exchanges and strengthen ties.
Takei Shunsuke, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, noted that the bilateral relationship is at its best stage, and 2023 is a time for both sides to review their achievements and strive for a better future.
During his visit to Japan from April 5-7, Deputy Minister Hieu paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Sakai city, met with leaders of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Associations, and representatives of Vietnamese associations in the region.
