A gas truck was reportedly involved in an accident on Saturday morning in Boksburg, South Africa, which resulted in a massive explosion.
Kyle van Reenen, Emer-G-Med spokesperson, said several people have died, with many more critically injured.
The tanker crashed into a low-lying bridge on Hospital Road, just a few meters from Tambo Memorial Hospital, causing the explosion.
The truck was carrying LP Gas.
Patients were forced to flee the damaged Tambo Memorial Hospital.
Three or four cars are also said to have been involved in the accident.
Videos and photos shared on social media show bodies lying on the ground and severely burnt people trying to get medical help.
