The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of voters ahead of the 2023 general elections. The INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, announced that the number of registered voters for the 2023 election is 93,469,008.

He also disclosed that a substantial amount of sensitive and non-sensitive materials have been deployed to different locations across the country and that the last batch of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has been received.

He stated that INEC is ready to conduct the 2023 election as scheduled and that the register of voters has been compiled.

The Chairman also revealed that the softcopy of the complete register will be presented to each political party shortly and that a hard copy of the breakdown of the register by states of the federation and analysis by gender, age group, occupation and disability has been enclosed in folders for a meeting.

INEC is committed to conducting a transparent, credible, and inclusive 2023 general election, the Chairman emphasized.
