Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized the All Progressive Congress (APC) as a party that deceived the Nigerian people in order to secure re-election in 2019.
He made these statements during a PDP campaign rally in Minna, where he also accused President Muhammadu Buhari of deceiving the people of Niger State in order to gain their votes for his second term.
Atiku also pointed out that the APC government’s slogan of “Change” brought negative consequences to the country, including insecurity and hunger.
He promised to prioritize reconstructing roads and restructuring the healthcare system if he were to become president.
The spokesperson for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, responded to Atiku’s statements, calling them an insult to Nigerians and pointing out that Atiku has consistently failed to gain the trust of the electorate.
