The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has told one of his main opponents, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to stop visiting Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
Tinubu, who won the party’s presidential primaries, had previously gone on a tirade in Abeokuta, calling out those he perceived as standing in his way, including Governor Dapo Abiodun, using phrases like “Emi lokan” and “O lule” that have since become part of the Nigerian political lexicon.
Tinubu was in Abeokuta again on Wednesday for his ongoing campaigns ahead of the February 25 presidential election.
However, speaking through Diran Onifade, Head of Media for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Obi said Tinubu’s advisers should advise him to stop visiting Abeokuta because he gets things wrong every time he goes there.
