Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, has urged Nigerians to exercise patience and temper their frustration towards the federal government.
Tinubu made this appeal during a rally held in Abuja on Saturday night, at the Eagles Square venue.
The APC standard bearer had also held a similar rally in Kebbi, a state in the North West, earlier in the day.
During his address to the APC Governors, party members, and supporters in Abuja, Tinubu assured them that his administration would focus on crucial sectors such as education and health, and provide job opportunities for the country’s youth. He said, “What we are doing is for the youth, our children and future generations. We want to serve you by turning the ship around.”
Tinubu also responded to comments made by the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, who said that the PDP had brought shame to the nation.
Tinubu claimed that Ayu’s statement was a true confession, and stated, “We will not bring shame to the nation. We will make you great educators, inventors, and developers. We have the knowledge, we know the road, and we understand the challenges.”
Tinubu concluded his speech by saying, “Let us collaborate and manage our anger. A nation is not built in a day. The government is supposed to lend a helping hand, and this government will do more. We will lighten the burden of your parents and it is a promise
