During a town hall meeting with People Living With Disabilities in Abuja, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, countered the belief that her husband’s popularity was solely due to their wealth by revealing that she had begged the wife of her husband’s running mate, Hajia Nana Shettima, for N2 million.
Oluremi, a former Lagos Senator, emphasized that Tinubu’s popularity stemmed from his compassion and generosity, not his money.
She also mentioned that Tinubu’s willingness to help others was demonstrated when he was the governor, as he would always tell his staff to provide assistance to anyone who needed it.
Oluremi’s statement was made ahead of the general election in Nigeria, where Tinubu was one of the major contenders for the presidency.
