During his appearance on Channels Television’s The 2023 Verdict election program, Osita Chidoka, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his confidence in his party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to effectively govern the country if elected this weekend.

Chidoka stated that Atiku’s experience will be critical in addressing the various challenges currently facing Nigeria.

He described Atiku as a safe choice who understands the issues, is knowledgeable about the Nigerian economy, and will not be preoccupied with forming a government. Chidoka believes that Atiku’s presidency will soothe tensions in the country and boost investors’ confidence in Nigeria.

Despite the insinuations that the PDP cannot win the upcoming election, Chidoka argued that the party is gaining ground in new areas, while dismissing the notion that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) can win the election.

Chidoka further claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari, who hails from Katsina, has brought insecurity to his home state.
