Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, led a campaign for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as well as the House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates of the party in four federal constituencies in the state on Tuesday.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo, the Governor urged party supporters at various campaign grounds in Osun East and Central Senatorial Districts to vote for the PDP candidates for good governance.
At the campaign, Adeleke handed over the PDP flags to Senator Fadahunsi and other candidates in Osun East, declaring that he was already delivering on good governance that would expand under an Atiku presidency.
He urged supporters to vote for Atiku, whom he described as a symbol of a “new Nigeria, true federalism, and economic restoration.” Adeleke also called for peaceful polls and directed security agencies to arrest hoodlums and thugs and empty all identifiable hideouts, emphasizing that the government has zero tolerance for violence.
