We’re collaborating with Labour Party, not merging – ADC

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, has clarified that the party has only formed an alliance with the Labour Party (LP) and not a merger.

He stated that the ADC and LP would work together to ensure that LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, emerges as the winner of the presidential election scheduled for February 25th.

Nwosu made this statement after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) endorsing Obi in Abuja on Monday. He emphasized that the alliance was only a collaboration and not a merger with the Labour Party. Dr. Mani Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Labour Party chieftain, Prof Pat Utomi, were among those present at the occasion.

In the meantime, the ADC presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, has responded to the endorsement and alliance by stating that he is still in the race. He asserted that he intends to run the race to the end and that anyone expecting him to endorse or align with another candidate before the election is making a grave mistake.
