On Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized N32.4 million in new notes suspected to be intended for vote buying in Lagos.
The anti-graft agency reported the arrest of a suspect who has been taken into custody for questioning.
The EFCC’s Twitter account stated that this was part of a significant operation to prevent vote trading and other financial misconduct before the presidential and national assembly elections. The Lagos Zonal Command of the Commission was responsible for the recovery.
