According to Punch, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, won the polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Ogun state, Nigeria on Saturday.
Obasanjo voted at polling unit 22, Olusomi compound, ward 11, Abeokuta north LGA, Ogun state.
Tinubu scored 56 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party scored seven and nine votes respectively. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled eight votes, Accord Party had one vote, and 10 void votes were recorded.
In his New Year’s message in January, Obasanjo had urged Nigerians to vote for Peter Obi, citing his character, antecedents, understanding, knowledge, discipline, vitality, and experience as reasons for his support.
