Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, emerged victorious in the February 25th presidential polls held in Abuja, defeating his opponents Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Obi secured significant wins in the Federal Capital Territory, winning four out of the six Area Councils, namely Bwari, Kuje, Gwagwalada, and AMAC, with a substantial number of votes.
Since Sunday, Obi had been in the lead and maintained his advantage until the final collation, where he garnered a total of 281,717 votes, outperforming the APC, which received 90,912 votes. The PDP came in third place with a total of 74,193 votes.
