On Thursday, Aisha Buhari, the wife of the President, urged Nigerians to accept the election victory of Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, as the will of God, putting aside their diversity and interests.
During her meeting with Oluremi Tinubu and Nana Shettima, wives of the President-elect and Vice President, respectively, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Aisha expressed her confidence that Tinubu would not betray the trust and confidence of Nigerians.
She also encouraged the wife of the President-elect to continue promoting the cause of women, youths, and girl-child education in the country. Oluremi Tinubu praised Aisha Buhari’s motherly role in the success of the APC’s campaign team and thanked her for her support.
Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, was declared the winner of the presidential election held on Saturday after receiving the highest number of votes with 8,794,726.
