The wife of Kogi governor, Rashida Bello, who was reportedly wanted for an alleged N3 billion fraud, has been spotted at the Presidential Villa where she met with the first lady Aisha Buhari and the wife of the president-elect, Remi Tinubu.
The EFCC had filed a lawsuit against Mrs Bello and others at the Federal High Court in Abuja over money laundering and misappropriation of funds. Mrs Bello announced her appearance at the Villa on Monday, after the anti-graft agency had declared her wanted.
The EFCC’s spokesman stated that the matter is currently before the court when asked about Mrs Bello’s status.
Mrs Bello and four others were charged in absentia last February by the anti-corruption commission for money laundering and criminal misappropriation.
They are facing an 18-count charge.
