The court of appeal in Abuja dismissed the PDP’s appeal seeking the disqualification of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the APC.
The PDP had argued that Shettima’s nomination contravened the law, as he was nominated to contest the position of vice-president and Borno central senatorial seat at the same time.
The trial judge had dismissed the suit, saying the PDP lacked locus standi, and the PDP appealed the judgment.
However, the appeal was also dismissed by the court of appeal, which awarded N5 million cost against the appellant’s lawyer, J. O. Olotu.
