In a message of condolence, former Nigerian President, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan, expressed his sympathies to the people and government of Ogun State for the loss of a former Chief of General Staff, Lt. General Oladipo Diya (retd.).
Jonathan praised Diya as a committed patriot and brave soldier, and acknowledged his contributions to the country.
As a soldier, Diya fought valiantly for Nigeria’s unity, and Jonathan commended him for his service.
Additionally, the former President characterized Gen. Diya as a compassionate and disciplined officer, renowned for his devotion to the nation and fellow citizens. Jonathan remembered Diya for his dedication to uniting Nigeria and his outstanding performance in various command positions in the military leadership.
Diya’s efforts to promote peace and contribute to the progress and development of Nigeria will not be forgotten, according to Jonathan.
