The sit-at-home order issued by Simon Ekpa in Lagos State has been condemned by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. According to Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary-General of the organization, the order is reckless and has been taken too far.
Isiguzoro also stated that Ekpa’s inability to prevent the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, from winning in the Southeast led him to instigate a fratricidal war between the Igbo and Yoruba communities.
He held the Nigerian government accountable for Ekpa’s actions, pointing out that the government’s failure to apprehend the alleged international terrorist has contributed to the current situation.
Isiguzoro emphasized that Ekpa and his associates have caused the deaths of numerous innocent civilians and security personnel in the Southeast and should be extradited to face terrorism charges.
