Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-elect, has received congratulations from Cuba, Nicaragua, and the Developing Eight Organizations for Economic Cooperation after winning the presidential election held on February 25.
In a statement by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, the Cuban government described Tinubu’s victory as a reaffirmation of the will to strengthen the historic friendship between the two countries.
Nicaragua expressed its best wishes for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity, while the D8 praised Nigeria’s active membership and expressed confidence that the country would emerge as an economic powerhouse in Africa and on the global stage under Tinubu’s leadership.
