The Edo police command has offered a N5 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Rachael Eboni Osazee Iyonmana, a Nigerian citizen residing in Canada, for allegedly cyberbullying, defaming, and impersonating Festus Alenkhe, the chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in the state.
According to Chidi Nwabuzor, the police command’s spokesperson, Iyonmana created multiple Facebook accounts, using Alenkhe’s photos and name, and made people believe that he was the one operating the accounts.
Nwabuzor added that the suspect had been declared wanted in January, but fled to Canada before her arrest, and the police are working with the Nigeria Immigration Service to apprehend her if she returns to Nigeria.
