The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has changed the date for the start of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), which will now begin on April 25 instead of April 29.
The announcement was made by JAMB’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.
He added that the rescheduled mock-UTME would be held on April 18 to allow candidates who missed the previous exam due to technical difficulties the opportunity to take it. Benjamin explained that the date for the UTME had to be brought forward due to other national assignments and to accommodate institutions with stable academic calendars to resume as scheduled.
He concluded by thanking everyone for their understanding and assured them that JAMB would continue to partner with relevant government agencies to provide the best for its candidates.
