Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has expressed his sorrow over the recent killings in Benue and Zamfara states.
He stated that the loss of lives has undermined the government’s efforts to combat insecurity.
In response to reports of the brutal killing of internally displaced people (IDPs) in Benue and the mass kidnapping of over 80 people in Wanzamai village in Zamfara, Obi called on the government to take exceptional steps to tackle the menace that is negatively affecting the nation’s existence.
Obi expressed his condolences to the bereaved families in a series of tweets on Sunday.
