Yusuf Hassan, a 43-year-old man, has been arrested by the police in Ogun State for setting his ex-lover’s apartment on fire after she refused to reconcile with him.
The fire reportedly burnt down the entire building.
The suspect was apprehended following a report made by the owner of the building, and he later confessed to the crime, admitting that he bought N500 worth of petrol to set Busayo Falola’s room on fire.
Three tenants in the building were rescued.
Hassan has been transferred to the State CIID for further investigation and prosecution.
