Chidi Mokeme, a veteran Nollywood actor known for his roles in “Shanty Town” and other notable movies, is also vying for the award for Best Actor in a Drama (Movie/TV Series).

Other notable nominees include Blossom Chukwujekwu, Femi Adebayo, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ini Edo, Nse Ikpe-Etim, O.C. Ukeje, Sola Sobowale, and Teniola Aladese, among others, who are all competing for various categories in the highly anticipated awards.

In addition to the traditional categories for movies and TV series, this year’s AMVCA has also introduced new categories that recognize digital content creation throughout Nollywood and the entire African content, such as Best Online Social Content Creator, Best Original Telenovela, and Best Unscripted Original.

The AMVCA has become one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in Africa, celebrating and honoring the achievements of actors, actresses, filmmakers, and other industry professionals in the African entertainment scene.
