Itun Nla Boys secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Odudu FC in a thrilling encounter at the U.A.M.C Eleja Pry School, marking the third match of the 2024 Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Chairman’s Cup.
Segun Ayeni, a force to be reckoned with for Itun Nla Boys, proved his attacking prowess by netting both goals for his team. Ayeni found the back of the net early in the 11th minute and sealed the win with another goal in the 78th minute.
The match saw a flurry of yellow cards, with both teams receiving cautions for rough play. Itun Nla Boys’ Abu Abu and Figana Emmanuel saw yellow in the 5th and 23rd minutes respectively, while Odudu FC’s Adebayo Adeluyi, Oluwadare Segun, and Balogun Emmanuel were booked in the 10th, 36th, and 56th minutes respectively.
Segun Ayeni, sporting jersey number 7 for Itun Nla Boys, was singled out as the Most Valuable Player for his stellar performance and decisive contribution to his team’s triumph.
