Lagos State is teaming up with a US-based social enterprise, Both Ends Believing (BEB), to develop software designed to help children and juveniles integrate more effectively into society.
The announcement came during a meeting between Lagos officials and BEB at the recent US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas.
Lagos Commissioner for Youth & Social Development, Mr. Bolaji Ogunlende, hailed the software’s potential, stating it aligns perfectly with the state’s THEMES Plus Agenda, which prioritizes social inclusion and youth engagement.
“This software is mind-blowing,” Ogunlende remarked. “It will help Lagos children integrate better into society. This is exactly what we need. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to THEMES Plus, particularly in social inclusion and youth engagement.”
BEB’s Chairman, Mr. Bruce Graham, described their software as a revolutionary child welfare application. It can not only store child information but also synchronize data across orphanages, children’s homes, and government institutions.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lagos,” Graham said. “We’re excited to see this application expand, helping children and the Ministry manage child data more effectively.”
