Popular skitmaker Layi Wasabi, known for his witty humor, emerged victorious at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) on Saturday night. He clinched the prestigious “Best Digital Content Creator” award, a first-time win for Wasabi at the AMVCAs.
Wasabi’s comedic brilliance in “Medical Negligence and Copyright Infringement” impressed the judges, securing him the win over fellow nominees like Adebola Adeyela (Lizzy Jay), Elozonam Ogbolu, Lina Idoko, Jemima Osunde, and Apaokagi-Greene.
Expressing his delight to reporters, Wasabi acknowledged the hard work he poured into his craft and the immense honor of receiving the AMVCA. He also offered a message of encouragement to fellow creatives, urging them to persevere in pursuit of their dreams.
