Lagos, Nigeria – A train fatally struck a 50-year-old man at the Oshodi railway station on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 9 AM near the Nigerian Army Shopping Mall (Arena).
The man, simply called Emmanuel, was struck by the train while crossing the tracks. The circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
Back in August, a man was crushed to death by a moving train in the Mushin area of Lagos. The incident occurred around 6 pm, with the victim found lifeless at the scene, suffering from severe injuries.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the victim’s death due to the impact of the crash.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the Oshodi train accident and stated that the case has been transferred to the Railway Command for further investigation.
