The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to contain the situation. Adebayo Taofiq, spokesperson for LASTMA, detailed the quick steps taken to mitigate the crisis. “The area was immediately cordoned off to safeguard lives and property.
