Boxing legend Anthony Joshua made a courtesy call to President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He presented the President with a signed glove featuring a personal inscription that read, “To the Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A. Tinubu.”
The meeting was documented on the Presidency’s X platform, with shared images of the exchange between the President and the globally celebrated boxer.

Joshua also visited Ogun State, where Governor Dapo Abiodun hosted him at the state capital. Governor Abiodun took the opportunity to reveal plans to construct the Anthony Joshua Indoor Boxing Ring, furthering efforts to support aspiring boxers and bolster sports in the region.
