Lagos is gearing up for the highly anticipated InnovateAI Lagos 2025 conference, scheduled for February 21st at the Landmark Event Centre. With a bold theme Scaling AI Adoption in Nigeria: Catalysing Cross-Sectoral Innovation and Fostering Inclusive Growth, the event promises to spotlight AI’s potential to tackle Nigeria’s most pressing social and economic challenges.
After a successful 2024 edition that drew over 4,000 attendees, this year’s gathering is expected to exceed 6,000 participants, including top industry experts, researchers, and policymakers. The conference will also be streamed live to 12 AI hubs across Nigeria, ensuring widespread access for tech enthusiasts and professionals.

Co-convener of the event, Ehia Erhaboh, shared that InnovateAI is about much more than just discussions: This is a movement. We are committed to delivering practical, actionable outcomes that will define the future of AI in Nigeria, he said.
The conference will feature key sessions such as “AI and the Future of Work,” which will delve into the profound effects AI is having on the labor market, particularly in terms of job creation, skill demands, and workforce transformation. Attendees will also experience the unveiling of AI-driven solutions aimed at solving major national challenges like unemployment, infrastructure deficits, and financial exclusion.
Erhaboh also pointed out Nigeria’s potential as a global AI leader, citing the country’s human capital, natural resources, and growing infrastructure as key assets for AI development. With the right investments and initiatives, Nigeria could lead in AI development and adoption, he stated.
A notable feature of InnovateAI Lagos 2025 will be its diverse programming, which includes workshops, networking sessions, and discussions on building ethical AI governance frameworks. One of the main objectives of the conference is to showcase the work of Nigerian AI startups, many of which are developing innovative solutions in agriculture, healthcare, and finance.
