Lekki, Lagos – Children with special needs and their families are set to benefit from a new initiative by Fidelity Bank Plc called “Bundles of Joy.” The program provides children with access to developmental activities and offers parents and caregivers resources to enhance their ability to care for these children.
The program’s inaugural event was held over the weekend at a dedicated facility in Lekki, Lagos, and was attended by children, parents, and caregivers. The initiative is led by Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, with the aim of promoting inclusivity and empowering families navigating the challenges of special needs care.”
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, described the program as a reflection of the bank’s dedication to making meaningful contributions to society. “Bundles of Joy demonstrates our commitment to enriching lives and building stronger communities,” he said.
Children participated in a range of engaging activities tailored to enhance their social and motor skills, while parents and caregivers attended workshops that offered practical training and valuable resources. These sessions were designed to equip families with tools to better support their children’s development.
Parents expressed deep appreciation for the program’s impact. “It’s been an incredibly valuable experience,” shared Deborah Eromokhodion, a participant. “The connections we’ve built and the insights we’ve gained are truly priceless.” Another parent, Joy Daberechi, remarked, “I’m grateful to Fidelity Bank for creating such a wonderful platform for families like ours.”
