The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, has undergone successful eye surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), showcasing the hospital’s commitment to advanced healthcare delivery. Abayomi shared his experience on Instagram, lauding the medical team’s expertise and professionalism.

The procedure was conducted by LASUTH’s Eye Department, with oculoplastic surgeons Professor Bola Adekoya and Dr. Rosemay Ngwu leading the operation. Apex nurse Adejoke Okeowo and her team provided outstanding post-surgery care, which Abayomi described as exceptional.

Acknowledging LASUTH’s leadership, the Commissioner praised Professor Adebowale Adekoya, Director of Clinical Services and Training, for overseeing a skilled team. He also thanked Professor Adetokunbo Fabamwo, LASUTH’s Chief Medical Director, for steering the institution towards excellence in healthcare delivery.

As one of Nigeria’s premier tertiary healthcare institutions, LASUTH continues to make strides in medical advancements. The hospital has invested significantly in modern technologies, including laser treatments for kidney care, advanced cardiovascular therapies, minimally invasive procedures, and extensive staff training.

Professor Fabamwo expressed his gratitude for the trust shown by key stakeholders, emphasizing the institution’s dedication to offering top-notch healthcare to Lagos residents and beyond.
