Lagos State will host the 2025 Global Conference of the Theatre and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), celebrating its pivotal role in the growth of Nigeria’s creative sector. Themed “Creativity and Innovation,” the event will honor Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu with the TAMPAN Pillar of Arts Award.

Otunba Bolaji Amusan, Global President of TAMPAN, made the announcement during a press briefing in Abeokuta on Friday. He commended Lagos for cultivating a supportive environment for the arts. Over 8,000 practitioners are expected to attend the event, which will be held across two venues: the Lagos Television Complex in Ikeja and the University of Lagos in Yaba.

The conference will feature presentations from state chapters, discussions on industry challenges, and strategies for industry growth. The Onipokia of Ipokia will also be recognized as the Royal Patron of TAMPAN.

Beyond networking and discussions, the conference aims to serve as a platform for addressing industry challenges through collaborative efforts. TAMPAN has invited media organizations to partner in promoting the event and raising public awareness about the pressing issues facing Nigeria’s creative industry.
