Ongoing and Completed Roads Improve Accessibility, Economic Growth
In a bid to enhance infrastructure and ease mobility within Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has facilitated the construction and rehabilitation of several critical roads, significantly improving the quality of life for residents and commuters.
Among the key roads under construction are 1.2 km Dagbolu Road (Majidun), 1.2 km Agunfoye Road (Igbogbo), and 1.2 km Ojokoro Road (Agric, Ikorodu West LCDA). Additionally, Ibu-Owo and Jalajugbo Roads are currently at various stages of completion. These projects, once finalized, will reduce travel time, ease transportation challenges, and stimulate economic activities in the affected communities.
Furthermore, Ojediran Street and Alhaji Andu/Shokoya Roads have been successfully completed, providing residents with smooth and durable road networks. Looking ahead, the next set of roads earmarked for construction include Apena Jimbo, Nurudeen Owolabi, and GRA 2 Roads, reinforcing Senator Abiru’s commitment to sustainable infrastructural development across the district.
These road projects complement the ongoing 32-km Ikorodu-Itokin Road reconstruction, a major arterial route connecting various towns and communities within the senatorial district.
During a recent community engagement led by Senator Abiru’s Media Aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, residents of Ojokoro and Dagbolu commended the senator for his proactive approach to infrastructural development. Many also acknowledged his broader contributions, including the facilitation of schools, hospitals, ambulances, medical supplies, electricity transformers, sports facilities, markets, and youth centers.
A standout initiative among his efforts is the SAIL Innovation Labs in Ikorodu and Ibeju-Lekki, a personal endowment project aimed at fostering digital literacy and innovation.
Senator Abiru’s infrastructural interventions continue to position Lagos East for sustainable growth, reflecting his dedication to bridging developmental gaps and improving the daily lives of constituents.
