Lagos recently hosted the second edition of the Amplify Bootcamp, offering 16 up-and-coming music artists and managers from the city the chance to enhance their skills and advance their careers. Over the course of five days, the participants took part in various workshops, masterclasses, and talks led by renowned music industry professionals.
The bootcamp covered key topics crucial for career development, including artistic identity, communication, copyright issues, and career planning. These sessions were designed not only to sharpen the participants’ professional skills but also to encourage deep reflection on their careers, fostering opportunities for networking with fellow artists and industry experts.
The program culminated in a diploma ceremony, followed by memorable live performances from the participants, showcasing their newly acquired knowledge and talents. Among the industry experts who contributed to the program were Demola Aderibigbe, Omah, Enei Isokrari, Kenneth Uphopho, Opeyemi Iredumare, Godwin Tom, Mádé Kuti, Christophe Pecot, Victor Ekpo, and The Cavemen.
The event also celebrated the hard work and achievements of the participants, including Victor Collins, Mr Cizzle, Mösirè, Orhma, Kenechukwu Ibedu Ifé, Karah Official, Girl Emoye, OGEAbeats, Geoxpressvibes, Krayon Isaiah, Monibaoritse, Esoterica Exists, and JohnHenry, who showcased their music at the event’s final presentation.
