Nigerian hypeman God Over Everything (GOE) has opened up about his struggles with isolation after receiving a N20 million gift from Afrobeat superstar Wizkid in 2024.

The gift, which followed the success of a viral track in Wizkid’s honor, initially brought GOE widespread attention and a wave of new friendships

However, during a live session on TikTok, GOE shared a sobering account of how his newfound circle quickly dissipated once the money ran out. “When Wizkid gave me 20 million naira, a lot of people came to me and became my friends,” he recounted. “Some even brought their cars to take me out, and we spent the money together. But now that the money has finished, nobody is with me anymore.”

The hypeman’s open admission sheds light on the temporary nature of relationships tied to affluence and status. GOE’s experience emphasizes the challenges of navigating fame and the importance of genuine connections in an industry often driven by appearances.
