Lagos, Nigeria – Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph, a representative from Alimosho Constituency II in Lagos State, wants people to work together to solve the problem of not having enough food. He said that the Lagos State House of Assembly is very committed to making sure everyone has enough food, just like the United Nations wants.

Joseph outlined several agricultural initiatives undertaken by the Lagos State Government, including the establishment of the 34-hectare Ikorodu Fish Farm Estate, the AGRIC-YES program, and the Oke-Aro and Gberigbe Pig Farm Estates. He also emphasized the importance of urban farming and encouraged residents to engage in animal husbandry.

To further support local entrepreneurs and foster economic development in his constituency, Joseph launched a Fifty Million Naira Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) empowerment program. This initiative aims to unlock the potential of local businesses and create sustainable growth opportunities.

The beneficiaries of the MSMEs empowerment program include artisans, people living with disabilities, community development associations, market men and women, religious groups, non-indigenous groups, youth groups, party members, and residents across Egbe-Idimu and Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Areas.

Joseph’s commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting local businesses underscores his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and contributing to the overall development of Lagos State.
