Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, was showered with love and admiration on her 58th birthday, as her husband, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, praised her for her unwavering support in both personal and public spheres. In a statement released on Tuesday, the governor described Ibijoke as a reliable and dependable partner in his administration’s mission to build a greater Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu praised his wife for her roles as a loving wife, devoted mother, medical professional, and First Lady. He highlighted her contributions to the betterment of Lagos residents through various initiatives aimed at uplifting women and children.

A courageous, kind-hearted, and strong pillar of support, she has positively influenced the delivery of democratic dividends to millions of Lagos residents through the THEMES+ development agenda of my administration, the governor said.

Reflecting on their shared journey, Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude for her unwavering support over the decades. “My jewel of inestimable value has stood by me through the turbulence of public service. Together, we’ve worked side by side to serve the good people of Lagos State,” he added.

He celebrated her as a God-fearing and compassionate individual, noting her dedication to the welfare of women and children through her office and her leadership in the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).

My dear wife has shown unmatched dedication and dignity in her roles, complementing our collective responsibilities with hard work and a passion for uplifting others, Sanwo-Olu said.

On behalf of their family, the government, and Lagos residents, the governor extended his gratitude for her sacrifices and contributions to various sectors. “As we celebrate her 58th birthday, I thank God for her life and wish her good health, prosperity, and many more impactful years ahead,” he concluded.

Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu’s leadership and compassionate initiatives continue to leave a lasting mark on Lagos State, earning her admiration from both her family and the broader community.

Sanwo-Olu concluded his message by wishing Ibijoke continued good health and an abundance of impactful years ahead.
